Complaint rights
Your statutory right as a consumer to complain about a defect in goods. In Denmark this is typically two years under the sales act when you buy as a private person.

Short definitions of terms you meet in consumer law, returns and price match.
Withdrawal right
The right to cancel an online purchase within typically 14 days when consumer distance selling rules apply. Not all goods are covered, and you often pay return shipping yourself.
Price match
A store policy where the seller may match a lower price on the same item within a short window. The rules come from the store policy, not from the sales act.
Digital receipt
A searchable copy of your purchase proof saved as a photo, PDF or email attachment. It makes returns, complaints and price match easier when the paper is gone.
Burden of proof
Who must prove that the goods had a defect. Early in the complaint period the consumer often has an easier position. Later you typically need more proof yourself.
Return rights
Store rules for exchanging or returning goods that are not defective. This is not the same as complaint rights or the statutory online withdrawal right.
Warranty
An extra promise from the seller or manufacturer on top of complaint rights. A warranty can be shorter, longer or narrower than your statutory rights.
Lost receipt
When the paper or file is missing and you need another proof of purchase. Mail, order confirmation, bank posting or the store system can sometimes save the case.

Price guarantee
A store promise about price, often used for the same idea as price match. Always read the concrete policy: deadline, competitors and exclusions decide if you can claim the difference.
